Guru Smt. Meghana Karthik started learning Bharatanatyam at the tender age of 7. She received her education in the arts under the guidance of Guru Smt. Charumathi, Guru Smt. Padmini Achchi and Guru Sri Praveen Kumar.
She completed her Vidwat certification from Karnataka Board, Visharad from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, and is currently in pursuit of a Diploma in Natuvanga under Dr. Guru Baradhwaj.
A trained classical dancer, and a choreographer with over 20 years of experience in the field of dance, she recently launched her passion for teaching by founding the Kalaajna Academy of Arts, serving as the artistic director, instructing students in Bharatanatyam while balancing her career as a Technical Lead at Wipro in Bangalore.
